Canada Visa For British, Germany, Australian and Estonia Citizens

There are fifty countries whose citizens are exempt from a Canadian visa under this program, including British citizens. Individuals entering Canada by car, bus, train or boat (including cruise ships) cannot apply for an eTA and must apply for a visitor visa instead at the Embassy. Canada’s eTA was introduced in 2015 by Canada’sImmigration Service to better organize the screening of visitors and determine their right to enter the country prior to travel. This means British citizens can apply for a Canadian eTA instead of having to apply for a Canadian tourist visa for British citizens.

  • A British passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
  • You can use a credit or debit card to pay for the eTA fees.
  • A current email address to receive the eTA in their Inbox.

Australian citizens must apply for a Canada eTA visa to enter Canada for tourism, business, transit or medical visits of up to 90 days. The Canada eTA visa from Australia is not optional but is a mandatory requirement for all Australian citizens traveling to the country for short stays. The Electronic Travel Authorization for Canada is only available to travelers entering Canada by air. Australia is one of fifty visa-free countries, meaning Australian citizens do not need a visa to visit Canada. Instead, Australians must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada. You will still need ID and travel documents. Canadian authorities introduced the eTA in 2015 to pre-screen foreign visitors to Canada and determine their eligibility.

Canada eTA Requirements for Australian Citizens

  • An Australian passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
  • A valid credit or debit card to pay for the eTA fees.
  • An Email address to receive notifications about the Canada eTA in your Inbox.

Estonian citizens wishing to travel to Canada for shorter periods of time, whether for pleasure, visiting family, conference or business meeting, medical treatment or transit en route to their final destination are eligible to apply for e-travel Canadian Authorization, commonly known as eTA. Canada eTA was introduced in 2015 in a total of 60 countries. The purpose of the new system is to help authorities process the entry of foreign nationals into the country more efficiently. This has resulted in significantly shorter queues at the border and an overall smoother travel experience for visitors. There are different types of visas for travel to Canada, e.g., Tourist visas, work permits and transit permits. Most requests are processed in just a few minutes. However, travelers are advised to apply for the eTA at least 72 hours prior to travel, in case of delays or if asked to provide additional information.

  • Applicants must have an Estonian passport, with a validity of 6 months or more from the date of entering the country.
  • The eTA can only be obtained with an electronic passport.
  • It is a requirement to be a citizen before applying for a Canada eTA for Estonian citizens. Travelers holding a passport or travel document with a different status, such as refugees, must apply for a Canada visitor visa since they are not eligible for an eTA.
  • Since the eTA application is an entirely electronic process done on either tablet, desktop computer, or a mobile device, a good internet connection is a must.
  • Applicants are required to have an active email address so that they can obtain their authorization to travel.
  • You can use a debit or credit card to pay for the eTA fees.

Canada offers spectacular scenery and tranquil coastlines. A glimpse of the breathtaking snow-capped mountains or pristine beaches is enough to get your next vacation booked as soon as possible. All travelers with a German passport must have a visa or visa waiver before legally entering Canada. Now it’s easier than ever to obtain it, thanks to a recent initiative launched by the Canadian government to visa waiver countries to visit Canada via the online eTA application, eliminating the need to apply for a visa in person at a diplomatic mission. The Canadian eTA, approved for German citizens, is a multiple-entry travel authorization that allows the holder to stay up to a total of 180 days for each entry.

  • Passport: All German citizens must have a valid German passport, with at least 6 months’ validity, in order to get a Canadian eTA visa.
  • Email: you will receive your document by email. So, provide a valid email. When you get your ETA, you are not required to have a physical copy on you, but if you want, you can still print one out.
  • Payment: You can use a debit or credit card, to pay for the eTA application fees.
