How FerriesMart encourages customers to buy local to help merchants grow while creating jobs

Fords, NJ – We’ve all heard of some of our favorite Mom and Pop small businesses closing during the pandemic because they didn’t have the resources to compete with the huge online retailers.

But now New Jersey app developer FerriesMart is about to change that by putting small businesses, on the same level playing field as the larger retail corporations. At the same time, it’s encouraging customers to buy locally to save the planet.

The app helps small businesses market their wares by connecting with customers, provides jobs for people to make deliveries, and the analytical tools to drive new customers ensuring growth for small businesses.

Merchants who sign-up, have their own webstore platform and ordered products can be delivered the same day. They also have access to data the app collects that can be used for marketing and analytics to help define a clear path for their business’s growth strategy.

At the same time, new jobs paying up to $15 an hour are created for delivering items for small businesses within a hyperlocal area. Even if people don’t have a car or truck, they can still make deliveries by bicycle, electric bike, scooter or walking.

“If you want to be a delivery specialist, just register and we’ll provide the training,” said Ferries Mart developer Gilbert Onyenwezi. “After undergoing our onboarding process, we’ll route orders to your cell phone from small businesses in your area so you can start earning money.”

FerriesMart will start with restaurants and grocery stores in New Jersey but will expand into the rest of the U.S. with other retailers and small businesses.

For a monthly fee and a commission of sales, merchants receive a great-looking digital storefront with online and offline AI marketing tools for growing a business including SEO. They can also offer same-day delivery services to their customers through the FerriesMart platform.

The platform’s AI fulfillment order technology is a frustration-free order management process.

“Once you set up your store on the platform, the AI tools will help manage your listing so you can better understand your customer journey. It can also maximize your virtual doorways such as social media and YouTube to help engage customers and grow your business,” said Onyenwezi.

Merchants can do whatever they want on the platform, which differentiates FerriesMart from other same-day delivery services. Merchants have the option of charging a fixed price for deliveries or offer free delivery over a certain price. Customers can also become members and receive free delivery.

“When a merchant receives an order, they can either use our delivery specialists or their own drivers to make deliveries. You can also track a delivery, so merchants have complete control of the process,” said Onyenwezi.

There are also other tools that merchants can use to expand their businesses. Barbershops, for example, can use tools to better understand their customer’s demographics to help expand their businesses.

“If you’re on our portal and don’t see your favorite store, you can recommend merchants and we’ll reach out to them to put them on board,” said Onyenwezi.

The FerriesMart App is available at Google Play or the Apple Store.
